Why Does Synapse: Framework Exist?

Synapse Framework was built to restore the visual legacy of Synapse X—through UI.

I stepped away in 2022, completely out of touch. When I came back, Synapse X was gone—but I still loved every version of Synapse's interface. Most projects today are basic remakes tied to one executor API. I wanted something universal: any executor, no API required (though you can use one if you want). Open source, clean, thoughtfully designed, with real customization—and deliberately nostalgic.

I also wanted modern features Synapse X never got: deeper theming, real script search, far more powerful plugins, hot-swapping between every UI instead of being stuck on one, and bringing select V3 features down to the older shells. Most of that is already in place.

What matters now is refinement—making the plugin system more capable instead of limited, pushing theming further, and adding options until 1:1 parity plus improvements is reached. I won't stop until we get there.
